So today was day two of Phonics and the next sound was /a/. We revised our first sound /s/ and then moved on to the new sound.
We began with the /a/ story followed by a song and then Z traced her /a/ in the finger phonics book. We followed that with 'find the /a/ sound' game.
After the game, Z made /a/ in the air and on her board with water and cotton swabs.
We finished it up with playdoh fun where Z made /a/ and ants on her arm (which was a scene in the story and the /a/ phonic song is also about 'ants on my arm')
